Topic: Why do some alpacas get 'new' spots after they reach 2+ years old? (Messages 1 - 1)

We have a couple of grays who had perfectly solid gray blankets through their first year or so. Over time, we've noticed a few small (nickel sized) spots that have 'appeared' from nowhere. They tend to be black or brown/maroon. We're not concerned, just curious if anyone knows why this happens?
